What have you leant through blogging?                                                                           

Through blogging i have learnt how to write posts, how to communicate with people living far away and read other peoples blogs.  

What would you say to other year eights about the possibility of blogging in English next year?                                                                                                                                      

I would say that blogging is a great way to communicate with people and its kinda fun too. 

Some people say that “blogging is just a different way of learning”. What do you about the possibility of using blogs to learn?                                                                                

I think it’s pretty good to use blogs to learn because you could maybe use other people’s experiences and learn from them.

tOdaii in class we had tO dO shOrt speeches On randOm tOpics. Once we had randOmly picked a tOpic we had a cOuple Of secOnds tO think abOut it then we had tO say wat eva came tO the tOp Of Our head. my tOpic was ”THE BEST RESSES ACTIVITY” it was a hard tOpic saying ii was put On the spOt ii wasnt sure wat tO say buh ii did it.:)

Today i have to find 2 impressive blog posts 1 from our classs and 1 from anywhere in the world.

firstly i’m going to chose one from our class and i chose karina because she explains her thoughts of a good teacher and student as well as a good learning eviroment.

For my second one i chose a girl named laura from brazil, she has many interesting blog entries about her first band reahersal and much more.

Today I’m going to say what I think makes a good teacher and what makes a good student, what qualities make a good learner. What expectations do you have of a teacher, what expectations do you have of a good learning environment? 

I think a good teacher is one who listens to the students and makes ways to make learning easier to do. A good teacher will provide help if needed and explain things thoroughly so everyone understands. 

I think a good student is one who does their work when told, gets help when needed and listens to their teacher. 

Two weeks ago we had 8 alive, from the 17th July to the 23rd July we could wear free dress to school and didn’t have to do normal classes instead we had activities that the teachers had planned out for us. On Monday we did learning activities whcich was pretty boring, on Tuesday we went to ceres enviroment park, we had to make recyclyed paper and learn stuff about the enviroment, on wednesday we painted a mural thingi, planted some plants and some other stuff. On Thursday, we went rock climbing which was the funest thing we did in the whole 8alive this term and on Friday we just did some activites and made a model of a park out of plastincine and other stuff. Overall this 8 alive was ok in my opinion, last terms 8 alive was better.

At school we are readin a really fat book called Good Night Mr Tom, so far we’ve only read a chapter and this is what happent, willie (the little boy) was sent to Mr toms house since there was war at his country,  this story is held in the time of world war 2 when most children wre sent out of the country to a safe place and come bak when the war was over.Willie is a 8 year old kid whose mother has sent him to Mr toms house to stay while the war was going on, hes a shy little guy and always is tryin 2 be gud. mr tom oakes is the guy who let willie stay at his house, he is about 60 years old and has a really weird accent, at the start he wasnt very keen on letting willie stay but now i think hes ok with it.

This is my weather poem:

The tornado like a fierce giant who wanted his dinner, came stomping up Main Street. As people saw the enormous tornado they ran for their lives. People watched though their windows as the strong tornado tore through the park, rushed up the hill and ripped of roofs. Bins got turned over, roofs got ripped off, gardens got damaged, house got damaged, things crashed through windows, things were blowing around everywhere and cars where taken up into the air. The tornado went on and on soon it faded away like a bird flying away and left us a whole lot of damage.

When did her journey start: when she goes to Canada or when she finds the eggs?     

I think Amy’s journey started when she comes to Canada right after she loses her mother. This is where here journey starts because she wouldn’t have found the eggs if she hadn’t come Canada and she wouldn’t have been able to fly the geese south. I also think this is where her journey starts because she had to start a whole new life make new friends get to know new people and in New Zealand she had to say bye to all her friends and she also had to leave all her mothers memories there.

hi everybody:)

Well this is anther entry for blog, this is about 8alive again but a bit better this time. 8alive was a bit boring but the things i enjoyed were decorating our journals which was really good every1 did a really good jod on thiers. We did coultraral beginings which was a bit boring and we just rote were ppls ansenters, parents, grandparents came from. we did m power girl wich was ok we had 2 draw her and trust me she didnt look 2 good. We went 2 the vic mmarket whiich was good we walked around & cheked out everyhing and also bought some stuff. when i look bak it was alright wasnt that fun but ok.
